Jimmy Anderson?s Story
Grand Master Jimmy Anderson is an 8th Dan Black Belt under the World Taekwondo Federation. With over 45 years of experience in martial arts, he began his training in 1970 in the Air Force. At the end of his service as a military, he opened Anderson School of Taekwondo and fitness center in his hometown.
Ever since the school was first opened, Grand Master Anderson has become well-known and renowned not only in South Carolina but nationwide. He has many achievements that include a 12-0 kickboxing record, a silver medal in the 1994 Taekwondo National Championships, numerous tournament & state titles. He even got a movie credit in Chuck Norris? ?Invasion U.S.A?.
Now retired from competitions, Grand Master Anderson dedicates his life to being a martial arts trainer. He is one of the highest ranked referees in the state. He is also the former Senior Vice President of the South Carolina Taekwondo Association. On 8/27/2005, Grand Master Anderson was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
