How to be successful at promoting
Hello. I would like to know how to get local developing companies to sign on contract with my company. My business is new since January of this year and i have found that it is difficult to get a developer to contract with a mason company they are unfamiliar with. I am very experienced with the type of work that i do. I have worked in masonry of many types for over a decade but just recently opened my own masonry company. How do I succeed with marketing a new company when all of the businesses i want to work with want references? The references that i could give them would be from the company i use to work for, not from my own company and i want to keep MY company the main focus. Could anyone give any advise on the different tactics i could use in this situation?

Can you create a porfolio of your past work, like photos of your masonry? Contractors like to see evidence that you really know your business, so you'll need some kind of proof. If you have a website, that goes a long way toward making your business seem permanent and professional. You can post a portfolio of your work and qualifications on your website. You can also really boost your marketing by networking through business social media. Your social media should link back to your website, that will attract business connections to you. Get testimonials from people who have seen your work, and put them on your website and physical portfolio.
